Our approach is not
to sell you chemicals based on perfunctory tests. Rather, backed by
one of the best soils test labs in the country, we sample and analyze
your soil and water to establish a thorough profile. Based on that profile,
we make recommendations that seek to bring soil nutrient elements into
balance and present them to the plants in a way that increases plant
uptake and leads to healthier turf. We review that program of recommendations
with you, because you are the one who will implement it. So, you're
back in charge of your turf!

Getting
Started
|

A turf farm's healthy crop.
|
| There are
two ways that you can get started with our services: |
Our preferred
method is to come to
your course, grounds, turf farm or other location and personally visit
with you while we take a set of soil samples. That interaction gives
us an opportunity to review your property layout, hear your goals, discuss
your turf problems, and observe the samples first hand.
After the lab has analyzed
the samples, we will write up a detailed report concerning your soils
and put together a corrective program with both short- and long term
suggestions. We write the corrective program to target specific interactions
that are taking place in your soil. Our write-ups are "user-friendly,"
and based on materials that are readily available (We feel that if we
were to put together a corrective treatment that you could not follow,
we would be doing you a huge injustice.).
Once we have completed the
write-up, we mail you the results and allow you about 10 days to review
the recommendations. After that, we call you to set up an appointment
where we sit down together and fully discuss the results. We also like
to follow up: sometime during the growing season we usually like to
stop through and visit with you or your grounds superintendent to do
any indicated follow-up, or just plain answer any questions that may
have arisen since the last time we reviewed the soil audits.
The
second method is for you or your superintendent to send the samples
directly to us. We will do the appropriate paper work and send the samples
to the lab. Again, once the lab has analyzed the samples, we will write
up and submit a detailed report. We follow-up in this approach as well;
again, at some point during the season, we will make a point of getting
in touch and visiting with you or your superintendent.
Straightforward,
Comprehensive Methods
Because every situation is
different, so are the corrective and maintenance programs that we write
up. Our soils testing agronomic program is tailored to the site and
is set up to amend any deficiencies in the root mix. Our physical testing
is done to ensure the proper root mix, and to match the root mix with
the top dressing material. Water testing is done to determine not only
the quality of the water, but also how it will impact the fertility
program. With today's emphasis on environmental issues, we can monitor
those tests prescribed by county and state governments and amend the
fertility plan if need be to meet any concerns.
